Operation hours

I am hosting this server on AWS and having this infrastructure up and running 24/7 would not be check. Therefore, the Loadbalancer exists only during certain hours. Even if the Loadbalancer is up, the system itself stays down until the first request comes in. Only then the server is started and will remain operational for 10 minutes, if no further request comes in. If a request comes in during the 10 minutes, the timer is reset and the server will remain operational for another 10 minutes. This way, the server is only running when it is actually needed and not consuming resources when it is not used.

The Loadbalancer is up during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM (MEST)
  • Saturday and Sunday: 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM (MEST)

From 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM the Loadbalancer may be up on some days, but then I am testing the system and new features, so operation is not guaranteed.
